Nigel is a freelance critic and art historian specialising in works on paper and Italian Renaissance art. A regular contributor to Print Quarterly and Trois Crayons, his writings fuse academic breadth with simple language, always with the aim of making art history accessible to all. Outside of the visual arts, he is passionate about country music, Taylor Swift, and hosting picnics in the summer.
