What is FLO Helps?

We have organised ‘Engineering Days’ in Ghana where children under the age of 15 learnt all about engineering. These sessions were highly successful and I am excited to continue running them.

It is a personal aspiration of mine to ensure that all people, including women, are encouraged to consider a career in engineering and are taught about all that that entails. Engineering is too often labelled as a ‘male’ dominated industry and I want to open women’s eyes to a whole world that they could be missing out on. These sessions are also designed to spread awareness of the importance of sustainability by exposing the next generation to sustainable possibilities and encourage creativity amongst the youth of Ghana.

Simply, FLO Helps supports charitable causes across Ghana that have significant personal meaning to me.

Throughout my career as an engineer, I have gained a huge understanding of the impact that the construction industry has on carbon emissions, landfill waste, pollution and the destruction of natural habitats. This sparked an interest within me for sustainability generally and I now try to apply these principles to all aspects of my life. Likewise, I am extremely passionate about careers in engineering and the amazing opportunities that it presents to individuals.

These events are the types of projects that I will continue to facilitate, run and promote across Ghana.
