Artists to look out for at Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2022
This year Frieze returns to Regent’s Park with more than 280 galleries from 42 countries in a collection of contemporary and classic art. Since its inaugural fair in 2013, Frieze has been a staple on the London art scene, offering an opportunity to observe the work of the masters while discovering new and emerging talent all of which is up for sale (often at a hefty price tag). This years Fair features an array of artists, from Tobias Rehberger’s eye-catching lounge installation with LG OLED, paintings by Jade Fadojutimi to alluring interactive work by Alberto Biasi. Here are some of our favourite artists on show at this year's Frieze 2022.
Jadé Fadojutimi

This 27-year old British Artist is taking the art world by storm. As the youngest person in the collection the Tate, it is no surprise that it is being widely reported by the Art newspaper that a suite of seven paintings created by her on show at the Gagosian’s stand sold out at the VIP Preview, ahead of the fair's opening. Fear not, the artwork is still on display and additional works of Fadojutimi can be seen at the stand of Galerie Gisela Capitan.
Andi Fischer

Andi Fischer is a Berlin-based artist who creates energetic paintings and drawings that appear as child-like scribbles but often reference iconic paintings created by artists such as Albrecht Dürer and Peter Paul Rubens. Fischer attempts to test the boundaries of our expectations of art. His work can be seen at the Sies + Hock Stand.
Larry Amponsah

Larry Amponsah is a multi-media Ghanaian artist whose practice investigates traditional modes of image-making whilst employing unconventional strategies of production to look at the contemporary politics of imagery. Amponsah has been experimenting with the transformation of archival material, both digital and printed images, which he assembles in collages that are further worked upon using mechanical processes (printing) and his honed skills as a conventionally trained painter. His works as of late have included print on canvas on which he intervenes with paint, referencing characters inspired by his West African upbringing, developed further within a greater Black global narrative.

Joy Labinjo
Tiwani Contemporary

Joy Labinjo’s large-scale figurative paintings often depict intimate scenes of historical and contemporary life, both real and imagined and often based on figures appearing in historical material as well as personal and archival imagery. She often explores themes including identity, political voice, power, Blackness, race, history, community and family and their role in contemporary experience.
His work can be seen at the Tiwani Contemporary stand at Frieze London.
TREVER Yeung
Blindspot Gallery

Trevor Yeung is an emerging Hong Kong artist. He is known for his distinctive use of natural animal or plant bodies as metaphors, referencing the emancipation of everyday aspirations towards human relationships.
His work can be seen at Blindspot Gallery stand at Frieze London.
Alberto Biasi

Alberto Biasi is one of the protagonists of Italian postwar art, as well as one of the founders of the historic Gruppo N.Between 1959 and 1960, Biasi created his first series of famed works: the 'Trame' are rectangular and permeable objects, where the modularity has optical-kinetic implications in the relationship.
In the span of his more than fifty-year career, Alberto Biasi has participated in many international exhibitions and his works are part of prestigious public collections and museums in Italy and abroad, including the MoMA in New York, the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome, the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg and the Ministero Degli Affari Esteri in Rome.

Tyler Mitchell
Frieze Masters Comission 2022

This year marks the first time Frieze has commissioned contemporary artwork to be featured in the Fair. Celebrated photographer Tyler Mitchell has debuted new works including photographs, works on fabric and mirror, and a new installation, which reflect on historical motifs in the context of an Edenic vision of Black beauty and desire.
