EFG London Jazz Festival to take over the capital once again in November

EFG London Jazz Festival 2023 will take over the capital for ten days of live performances.

The highly anticipated EFG London Jazz Festival is set to return to London's vibrant jazz scene in November. Over ten days, the festival will showcase a mix of world-class musicians and emerging talents, creating an extraordinary celebration of jazz across the city. This year's lineup promises an unparalleled mix of genres and talents, uniting global icons like like Mulatu Astatke, Aynur, Judi Jackson, London Brew, and YolanDa Brown, along with acts like Judi Jackson and the explosive London Brew supergroup.

The festival's opening night at the Barbican sets the tone with Ethiopian musician Mulatu Astatke's 80th birthday performance. Fusing jazz, Latin, and traditional Ethiopian music, Astatke's show promises an unforgettable experience. The Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre will feature Kurdish singer Aynur, blending her heritage with contemporary jazz vibes. The Lower Third venue will spotlight emerging UK talents, while the Jazz Voice gala, supported by EFG, offers a captivating fusion of jazz and dance.

From avant-garde compositions to virtuosic displays, the festival spans the breadth of jazz's legacy and future. Joshua Redman's vocal project, Hiromi's Sonicwonder project, and the boundary-pushing Irreversible Entanglements showcase the diversity within jazz.
