FLO London Meets...Majid Adin

Majid Adin is a talented visual artist who fled to Europe from Iran, spending six months in the Calais jungle before reaching London in the back of a refrigerator lorry. He won an international competition to design a video for Elton John's 1970s hit Rocket Man, re-contextualising the lyrics as a refugee’s journey to Europe through his animation.

In his own interpretation of Elton John's iconic hit, Iranian filmmaker and refugee Majid Adin reimagines "Rocket Man" to tell a new story of adventure, loneliness and hope.

Myela - Nick Mulvey

This video was made by Majid Adin, an Iranian animator and filmmaker, who has sought refuge in the UK. It is inspired by the refugee experience.
