The Mediterranean will be at the heart of ARCOmadrid 2023

The 42nd edition of ARCOmadrid, the fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, will be held from 22 -26 February 2023 with the Mediterranean as its core project.

ARCOmadrid 2023 curated by Marina Fokidis with the advice of Bouchra Khalili and Hila Peleg will revolve around the art scenes of the countries surrounding it, from south to north and coast to coast. The curatorial team will present a series of artists and galleries from the countries of this rich and complex geography.

A total of 214 galleries from 37 countries will make Madrid the international contemporary art capital, with the Mediterranean region at the heart of its analysis.The main axis of the Fair, the General Programme, will be made up of 171 international galleries selected by the Organising Committee, with about thirty of these galleries participating for the first time, or returning after many years, such as Capitain Petzel, Contemporary Fine Arts, David Zwirner, Mendes Wood DM, Nicolai Wallner, Rüdiger Schöttle, and Timothy Taylor.

They are joined returning galleries including Peres Projects, Giorgio Persano, Helga de Alvear, Jocelyn Wolff, Krinzinger, Lelong, Mai 36, Meyer Riegger, Nächst St. Stephan Rosemarie Schwarzwälder, Peter Kilchmann, ProjecteSD and Thaddaeus Ropac, among others.
