#FLODown: The Barbican presents this exhibition that looks at the complex and sometimes contradictory representations of masculinity from the 1960s to the present day. The exhibition explores how key photography and film have been in the conversation and social construct of masculinity – both how it is imagined and how it is understood in contemporary culture. Expect to see the works of over 50 international artists, photographers and filmmakers including Sunil Gupta, Rotimi Fani-Kayode, Isaac and Catherine Opie.

#FLODown: The Royal Opera House is hosting a free lunchtime performance that features regular Royal Opera House artists and some guest artists. The performances last about 45 minutes and are not ticketed so be sure to arrive in good time to secure a spot as it is first-come-first-serve.

#FLODown: The Hot 8 Brass Band has been around for over 20 years, playing at jazz clubs, nightclubs, community parades and traditional jazz funerals across the world. But on Friday they will be taking over the 02 Forum in Kentish Town, which is a relatively intimate venue for such a loud and rowdy gig – not one to be missed.The band features 10 members, including three trumpets, three trombones, tuba, bass drum, and snare drum as well as one reed player. They have a funk style to their music, with definite influences from contemporary RnB and rap.
