The best day parties and festivals in London in 2026
London's outdoor festival season is officially underway and this year we’re truly spoiled for choice. Global headliners are gracing our local parks most weekends from early May through to September, catering for music lovers of all tastes, from electronic, rock, jazz and hip hop, to genre-bending events that encompass contemporary art and grassroots community programming. This year’s programming also sees the return of beloved industrial party spots such as the Brentford motorway flyover (Junction 2), and the debut of exciting new venues like Magazine Open - Air in Greenwich.
GALA
GALA Festival.
#FLODown: Now in its 11th year, GALA was founded by friends who started out throwing student parties in Newcastle and still operates independently. This is evident in the thoughtful curation of the popular three-day event: Friday is a UK rap and bass night headlined by Giggs (a hometown set, in his case), CASisDEAD, D Double E and Novelist, with Mala, Djrum, Objekt and the 1975's George Daniel also on the lineup. Saturday leans towards house and techno via Call Super, DJ Seinfeld, Logic1000 and a new A/V show from Saoirse. Sunday is the feel-good disco and house special we have all come to love, led by Seth Troxler with Lil' Louis and Todd Terje. Mindful of its impact on the community, GALA runs a bursary scheme offering free and subsidised tickets to local residents, and has raised around £37,000 for the Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers since 2021.

High Lights

#FLODown: High Lights' East London weekender is leading the way with experiential audiovisual productions this year, but not just for the social media crowd. Friday 22 May hosts Lane 8's TNH TEN, a tenth-anniversary celebration of his This Never Happened brand, which famously enforces a no-phone policy at the door (enforced with camera stickers). Saturday 23 May sees Armin van Buuren bring The Orb to London for the first time: a 360-degree spherical structure that wraps the DJ in synchronised, cinematic visuals. It’s a rare treat to see the trance legend do conceptual stagecraft on this scale, making it one of our top picks. Sunday presents South African duo the Scorpion Kings' biggest London show to date, a timely booking with the rise of Amapiano’s popularity in the UK.

#FLODown: Now in its 7th year, Cross the Tracks is an unmissable annual jazz, funk and soul one-dayer. The 2026 lineup is stacked with highlights, from headliner Little Simz, to Joy Crookes, Knucks, Kokoroko, Obongjayar, Mereba, Lady Wray, Brooke Combe and corto.alto. The Outlook Orchestra teaming up with Fabio & Grooverider for a jungle-meets-strings set is a perfect example of the genre mashups the festival is renowned for. It’s worth heading down early to catch the afternoon programming, where you’re likely to discover up-and-coming acts with future headliner potential, as well as sampling some of the 50+ street food vendors and an array of workshops and panel talks.

Mighty Hoopla

#FLODown: Europe's largest LGBTQ+ music festival, Mighty Hoopla takes its joyful pop programming extremely seriously. Lily Allen headlines the Saturday, Scissor Sisters close the Sunday, and the rest of the lineup mixes early-2000s nostalgia (Five, JLS, Cascada, Liberty X, The Wanted 2.0, Estelle), pop legends (Jessie J, Heather Small, Alexandra Burke, Tulisa, Louise) and high-energy dance acts such as MNEK, Horse Meat Disco, House Gospel Choir, DJ Paulette and Todrick Hall. This year’s Gay Icon slot will be filled by Jane McDonald, notably her first ever festival appearance. Of all the festivals on the list, the Mighty Hoopla crowd will no doubt win best-dressed and best sing-alongs.

SXSW London
SXSW London to take place 1-6 June 2026.
#FLODown: Austin-born SXSW hosted its first European edition in London last year, with more than 25,000 attendees from over 85 countries. In 2026, it returns to Shoreditch for six days. The format mirrors the Texan original: 300-plus conference sessions across film, tech, music and culture, alongside a music programme of 200+ artists spread across Christ Church, the Truman Brewery and a network of grassroots venues. Highlights include Earl Sweatshirt at Shoreditch Town Hall and performances from Tiwa Savage, Odumodublvck, Yunjin (Le Sserafim), Italian pop star Gaia, Rachel Chinouriri, Infinity Song, Jords, Iyamah, Oxlade, Finn Askew and Finnish metal band Rabbit Cult.

Anyma presents ÆDEN

#FLODown: One of the top bookings of the summer, Anyma's audiovisual ÆDEN show is debuting in London after an epic launch on the Coachella main stage earlier this year. The two-day London edition takes over Broadwick Live's Silverworks Island in the Royal Docks, a 20,000-capacity open-air site set against Millennium Mills and directly beneath London City Airport's flight path. Saturday’s lineup leans heavier with Kevin de Vries and Kölsch playing a B2B set, alongside Chris Avantgarde and Layla Benitez. Sunday is a treat for melodic house fans, with performances from rising star Ben Böhmer and Woo York. Mind Against, Kasia and 8Kays also feature across the weekend, and Anyma closes both nights with the headline ÆDEN performance. For Anyma, this is a full-circle moment: his first London live shows happened at Printworks before the venue closed, and these are his first capital dates since 2022.

BST Hyde Park

#FLODown: BST is the closest thing London has to a stadium series in a park, and the 2026 spread is as broad-church as ever. Garth Brooks is the first booking on Saturday 27 June, his first UK show since 1998. The following weekend brings Maroon 5's Hyde Park debut on Friday 3 July, Mumford & Sons on Saturday 4 July and Duran Duran with Scissor Sisters in support on Sunday 5 July. The closing weekend pairs Pitbull with special guest Kesha on Friday 10 July, then two nights of Lewis Capaldi (Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, the second added after the first sold out instantly). BST has been a firm fan favourite since 2013, and it’s worth noting that its Open House midweek programme remains free to access.

#FLODown: Junction 2 turns ten this year and is marking this special anniversary by expanding to two weekends under the iconic Brentford flyover. The M4 motorway running directly over the main stage gives the site its industrial identity, and the lineup for J2 X is the strongest yet. Saturday 25 July is curated in collaboration with Fabric and is stacked with house and techno legends including Nina Kraviz, Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann B2B DJ Hell, Nicolas Lutz and Peach. Sunday 26 July sees Adam Beyer headline with Miss Monique, Indo Warehouse, Franky Wah and more. The closing day on Sunday 2 August leans harder with I Hate Models, Funk Tribu, Charlie Sparks, AMMARA and CARAVEL. #FLODown: This four-stage day party in Burgess Park punches well above the festival's relatively modest scale. Now in its 7th year, Maiden Voyage is respected for its depth of underground programming and community collaborations. The 2026 edition sees stage takeovers from UNFOLD, Live From Earth, HOWL WORLDWIDE and Pxssy Palace, the London collective who will be celebrating their tenth anniversary with a stacked lineup of UK rap legends. Lineup highlights include Sherelle, Helena Hauff, HAAi, TYGAPAW, Job Jobse, D. Tiffany, Confidence Man and DJ Heartstring.

Magazine Open - Air

#FLODown: This summer, Broadwick Live (the team behind Drumsheds and Printworks) are launching an open-air sister site to Magazine on a previously unused stretch of the Greenwich Peninsula. This welcome addition to London’s outdoor electronic music scene sits directly on the Thames, framed by the city’s skyline and the Magazine building. Friday 14 August is FLO’s top pick, as Meduza and James Hype bring their Our House project to London for an extended day-to-night session. The series continues with Josh Baker and Max Dean B2B (15 August), a 15-year Soulection anniversary show (16 August), Amelie Lens and Sara Landry going B2B (21 August) and Purple Disco Machine (22 August).

#FLODown: APE may be London's most genre-fluid festival, and this year’s edition boasts six main festival days interspersed with free-to-access midweek events (In The Neighbourhood). Which days to prioritise? The opening session on Friday 21 August is curated by Jorja Smith who co-headlines with Tems, supported by Odeal, Ayra Starr and kwn. On Saturday 22 August, Lorde takes the stage with PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, 2hollis, Djo and Oklou. Our top pick is Tyler, the Creator’s two-day headline run on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August. He will be backed by a heavyweight rap and R&B contingent including Mariah the Scientist, Clipse, Sexyy Red, Ravyn Lenae, Vince Staples, Dijon, Ghostface Killah and Danny Brown.

#FLODown: RALLY is part of a four-day Southwark Park weekender shared with three sister festivals. Each day has a distinct identity, but they collectively define the late-summer South London bank holiday. Friday 28 August is Piano People in the Park, the third edition of London's biggest Amapiano festival, with Kelvin Momo and the Jazz Cruise Band, plus TXC, Zee Nxumalo and Justin99. Saturday 29 August is RALLY itself, with Blood Orange headlining a music and arts programme curated under the theme 'Make Your Reality'. Sunday 30 August is Body Movements, London's first queer and trans dance festival, taking over five themed stages with the likes of Romy, Saoirse & Shanti Celeste, Hannah Holland and takeovers from Adonis, HONEYPOT and Fèmmme Fraîche, among others. Bermondsey Carnival, a free, community-focused day closes the weekend on Monday 31st.

#FLODown: Team Love's electronic festival Waterworks expands to two days for the first time in 2026. Five stages and 83 sets, shows and B2Bs showcase the progressive end of house, techno, bass, breaks and club music. Saturday 12 September focuses on house and techno, with Erol Alkan, Daniel Avery, Leon Vynehall, Midland, Modeselektor, Bradley Zero and Alex Kassian among the highlights. Sunday 13 September dives deeper into UK sound system culture, from dub and jungle through to drum and bass, grime and garage. Highlights include Tim Reaper, Ross from Friends, Dr Banana & MC Creed, Aba Shanti and Oppidan.
