TOTW: thank you key workers

Every Thursday night we stand outside our houses clapping, banging wooden spoons on saucepans and cheering in celebration of all the hard and essential work that the NHS workers are doing #ClapForCarers. This is a really special time in everyone’s week. Not only is it a time to reflect, but it is also a beautiful time to feel part of the community and see our neighbours (rather than just hear them through the walls – if you’re lucky enough to live in a terraced house).

But we would like to use our platform to pay a special tribute and thank you to all of the other key workers going out and working during this scary time. To all the supermarket workers, to all the postmen and women, to all the delivery drivers, to all the construction workers, to all the warehouse staff, to all the teachers, to all the civil service staff, to the utility workers, and to all the transport workers, train drivers and bus drivers we want to say thank you for all that you are doing. Thank you for leaving your homes and your families during this time to keep this country functioning. We couldn’t do it without you.
