The Peruvian Restaurant

Pachamama London

Image:@pachamamalondon

#FLODown: Foliage tastefully decorates the walls of this no-fuss Peruvian restaurant in Marylebone. The menu consists of both small and large plates and all of the dishes are divided up into ‘soil’, ‘sea’ or ‘land. Expect to find sweet potato ceviche with soy tiger milk, salmon with avocado jalapeno sauce, and our favourite of them all is the caramelised aubergine with coriander oil.

The staff at Pachamama are well versed in the intricacies of the menu and will be able to explain what dishes complement each other, and more importantly, which wine complements the food best. Whether you are gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan there will be plenty for you to choose from here. Plus, on weekends Pachamama has an in-house DJ to start off the party – oh, and pisco cocktails. What more could you want?

The plant based cafe

Kin Cafe

Image: @kin_cafe

#FLODown: KIN is a delicious vegetarian café nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia. Aiming (and, in our opinion, succeeding) to provide healthy and fresh, yet delicious food, all provided in an inviting setting.  In the name of keeping things exciting, KIN change elements of their menu every single day. They are open for both breakfast and lunch, and will also provide the lifeblood of London – caffeine – alongside a delightful selection of juices and desserts. Note: there is limited seating available outside, hence why this being perfect for an on-the-go lunch.

The neighbourhood coffee shop

The Attendant

Image: @attendant

#FLODown: Attendant is located in a converted 18th century Victorian public toilet in Fitzrovia. It is quite the unique location for a coffee shop, featuring original Doulton & Co porcelain urinals with cool green chairs to match the tiled floors. Attendant serves coffee alongside breakfast and lunch weekly. Expect to find delicious servings including French toast and Pakora Focaccia. They have limited seating, so operate on a first come, first serve basis!

Attendant have chains in Shoreditch and Clerkenwell, not quite as quirky as their Fitzrovia branch, but still a great vibe nonetheless. No need to book.

The Shoreditch Trattoria

Gloria

Image: @bigmamma.uk

#FLODOwn: Brought to London by the Parisian, Big Mamma Group, and famed for their glorious Italian food, this trendy trattoria is located in Shoreditch. The exterior of the restaurant is draped in plush greenery and the interiors will transport you to the south of France in the 1950s. The mismatched furnishings, the classic lampshades, the plethora of wicker chairs are all a feast for the eyes – and that’s before you’ve even sat down for the food.

Gloria Trattoria ordinarily operates on a first-come-first-serve basis for both brunch, lunch and dinner. However at present you need to book before you visit.
