Tate Britain - Millbank
Exhibition: William Blake: The Artist

The Tate Britain is hosting the biggest William Blake exhibition seen in almost 20 years. Beloved for his poetry, Blake was also an excellent painter and printmaker who created some of the most iconic artwork in British art history. Opening for the first time this weekend and featuring over 300 pieces of his incredible artwork the exhibition will explore the radical and rebellious nature of his work. Look out for the digitally enlarged version of The Spiritual Form of Nelson Guiding Leviathan c.1805-9 and The Spiritual Form of Pitt Guiding Behemoth c.1805, both pieces will be projected onto the gallery walls.
What we love most about Blake’s work is how it always requires us to dig deep for interpretation – the challenge we enjoy most about any artwork.

The V&A is exploring the necessary topic of sustainability in food. This clever exhibition explores the political and pleasures of food and asks how the collective choices we make can lead to a more sustainable food future without compromising on taste, exploring the subjects of gastronomic experiments to urban farming. The exhibition reflects the standard of work we have come to expect from the V & A; it is interactive and fantastically thought-provoking. Expect to leave the exhibition wanting to investigate if your eating habits are part of the problem or solution…

White Cube - Bermondsey
Exhibition: Dora Maurer
Date: Now- 3rd November 2019

White Cube presents the exhibition of Hungarian artist Dora Maurer at their Bermondsey gallery. The exhibition focuses on three series she produced over 30 years; ‘Overlapping’s’, ‘Quod Libet’ and ‘IXEK’, coinciding with her current yearlong exhibition at the Tate Modern. This smaller, intimate exhibition allows you to dive into the conceptual approach Maurer brings to her works, which includes painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and filmmaking. What we love most about White Cube is the smaller sized exhibition they produce allows us to absorb the concepts without the over excitement that comes with needing to take in as many as 20 plus pieces of artwork.

Exhibition: BP Portrait Award 2019

The BP Portrait Awards is one of our favourite recurring exhibitions in London. Having the opportunity to discover the works of artists we don’t know and explore their take on the ‘portrait’ leaves us feeling inspired.The BP Portrait Award is the most prestigious portrait painting completion in the world and attracts artists from all over the world. We love the challenge the competition presents for artists and every year we seemed to be wowed by the approach taken by artists to push the envelope in their portraiture.
The first prize in the completion is £35,000, despite what you may think about BP as an organisation, this is without a doubt a fantastic contribution to the arts. This is the thirtieth year of BP sponsorship of the Portrait Award.
