Music events to be on your radar in London this weekend: 22 - 25 October 2026
The week before the clocks go back is a good one for anyone who would rather be in a dark room than out in the last of the daylight. There is a live band at Village Underground, a late night in a corner of Somerset House most people walk past, a Berlin-based producer playing a full night on his own in New Cross, and two of the biggest Saturday line-ups of the autumn go head to head in Camden and the Royal Docks. One of them is already sold out. Here is what to book.
Romare (Live)
#FLODown: Archie Fairhurst, who records as Romare, brings his live band to Village Underground. His records are built from samples of blues, soul, gospel and West African music, named after the collage artist Romare Bearden and assembled in much the same way, and the live show reworks that material with players rather than playing the albums back.
Date: 22 October 2026, 7.30pm - 11pm. Location: Village Underground, 54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, London EC2A 3PQ. Price: £30.50. Book now.
Paint Room Lates: Cyndi Handson
#FLODown: Paint Room Lates returns to the Paint Room Bar at Somerset House, with a bar and five hours of music. Cyndi Handson joins residents Rob Mac and Moon as guest selector. One half of Handson Family, she is a South London DJ, music curator and cultural organiser who has co-curated Brixton Village Lates for the past eight years and co-runs Heritage, the Cross The Tracks stage, and her sets include house, deep funk, jazz and soul. Previous guests in the series include Dom Servini of Wah Wah 45s and Jazzy Sport. Worth knowing about if you want a Thursday night that finishes before the last tube.
Date: 22 October 2026, 6pm - 11pm. Location: Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1LA. Book now.
KOKO Electronic: THEMBA
#FLODown: The South African DJ and producer takes the Friday KOKO Electronic slot for a seven-hour night. The DJ plays in the round from the middle of the Victorian theatre with the crowd around them on every level, which is the thing that makes KOKO worth doing over a conventional club.
Date: 23 October 2026, 10pm - 5am. Location: KOKO, 1a Camden High Street, Camden Town, London NW1 7JE. Price: to confirm. Book now.
Sultan + Shepard
#FLODown: Sultan + Shepard play a DJ set at UNLOCKED on Curtain Road. The duo, Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard, met in Montreal in 2002 and debuted on John Digweed's Bedrock Records before going into big-room dance and pop co-writing, with a Grammy nomination for their remix of Bruno Mars's Locked Out of Heaven and credits alongside Tiësto and David Guetta. Their sound has since come round to melodic house. UNLOCKED is a new event space in Shoreditch, a 24,500 sq ft warehouse used for music and art.
Date: 23 October 2026, 10pm - 2.30am. Location: UNLOCKED, 118 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3AY. Price: from. £33.10. Book now.
Upper90 all night long
#FLODown: Upper90 gets his first London show, and Warmer People have given him the whole thing, seven and a half hours at Venue MOT with no support. Behind the name is Luca Twomey, born in Australia and based in Berlin, who works across techno, hard house and trance, and has his own label, Dance Power, to play from.
Date: 23 October 2026, 10.30pm - 6am. Location: M.O.T, Orion Business Centre, Surrey Canal Road, London SE14 5RT. Price: from £8.60. Book now.
Jazz for Congo
#FLODown: Jazz for Congo is a fundraiser for Focus Congo, held at Common Press, the queer bookshop and community space on Stoke Newington Road. The night is curated by Shea Butter Jazz Club and brings together Black British jazz musicians and poets, with LIZMNK and EvilBisexualDJ on the line up. It takes place during Congo Week, the annual week of action organised by Friends of the Congo, and Focus Congo works with grassroots organisations in the Democratic Republic of Congo on access to resources and support for young people. Over 18s only.
Date: 23 October 2026. Location: Common Press, 97 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 8BX. Price: from £15. Book now.
Shanti Celeste's Birthday Party
#FLODown: Shanti Celeste's Birthday Party takes over the whole of KOKO, with the main room given to Shanti Celeste, Leon Vynehall and Danielle, and Room 2 to her own label Peach Discs, which she founded with Gramrcy, who plays alongside Ellie Stokes. The rest of the building is in use too, with the Milly On Air podcast talk show, London Love Letter with Amaliah, a B.A.D recording studio takeover with NIKS, rRoxymore and Mason Maynard, a Saffron workshop with Daisy Moon and a Ladies Music Pub meeting. Over 19s only.
Date: 24 October 2026, 10pm - 5am. Location: KOKO, 1a Camden High Street, Camden Town, London NW1 7JE. Price: from £27.10. Book now.
CamelPhat
#FLODown: The Liverpool duo headline a day to night melodic techno and progressive house showcase at Ironworks, the warehouse at Thames Wharf that only opened this month and is one of the largest electronic music spaces in London. Kt, Hardt Antoine and Avangart Tabldot support. Doors at 2pm, so it is a different proposition to the rest of this list.
Date: 24 October 2026, 2pm - 10pm. Location: Ironworks, Thames Wharf, Scarab Close, Royal Docks, London E16 1AF. Price: from £55.50. Book now.
Dreamland with Peach, Ciel and Angel D'lite
#FLODown: Dreamland with Peach, Ciel and Angel D'lite across the night at FOLD in Canning Town. Dreamland is Peach's own project, launched in 2025 and now a Risograph zine of essays, interviews and poetry about small clubs, with contributions from Call Super, Parris and Jay Duncan. The parties tour under the same name, and this London date is one of a run that continues to Strange Brew in Bristol, Macadam in Nantes and Cobalt Studios in Newcastle. Dreamland was intended for small clubs only, so FOLD, a 900 capacity venue above a print factory on an industrial estate, is the exception. Peach plays KOKO's Room 2 the same night through her label, so this is the other half of a busy Saturday for that circle.
Date: 24 October 2026. Location: FOLD, Gillian House, Stephenson Street, London E16 4SA. Price: to confirm. Book now.
The Hydra presents Autechre
#FLODown: Sean Booth and Rob Brown formed Autechre in Rochdale in 1987 and have released on Warp since 1992, when Crystel and The Egg appeared on the label's Artificial Intelligence compilation, with every album since Incunabula coming out there. This is their first London show since 2022 and their biggest headline performance to date. The set lasts 90 minutes and is performed in total darkness, which is the format the pair now tour. Manchester duo Space Afrika are also on the bill, alongside MDX.
Date: 24 October 2026. Location: Magazine London, 11 Ordnance Crescent, London SE10 0JH. Price: Resale available from £38.50. Book now
