Southbank Centre is gearing up for an unforgettable summer with a packed schedule of events, announcing their vibrant and diverse summer season under the banner "You Belong Here." From Saturday 29th June to Sunday 8th September, the Southbank Centre aims to send a resounding message of welcome to all, offering a rich tapestry of cultural experiences that cater to a wide range of interests and backgrounds. At the heart of this season is a commitment to inclusivity, with events designed to foster a sense of belonging and community among attendees.

The programme features an array of free live events every weekend, alongside thought-provoking public art installations that invite contemplation and dialogue. Festivals such as Unlimited, which celebrates the work of disabled artists, showcase the Centre's dedication to promoting diverse voices and perspectives within the arts. Notable highlights include the UK premiere of Crazy Smooth: In My Body, an exploration of ageing in hip-hop, and the family-friendly production Home from Mimewave, promising entertainment for all ages.
The Hayward Gallery presents Tavares Strachan:There Is Light Somewhere, the first mid-career survey of the New York-based, Bahamian artist. Strachan celebrates unsung explorers and neglected cultural trailblazers, inviting audiences to engage with overlooked characters whose lives highlight histories hidden by bias.

The Southbank Centre's literature programme delves into the works of influential figures like James Baldwin, alongside engaging discussions led by leading voices such as Kelechi Okafor and David Olusoga. From lively showcases on the Riverside Terrace to community gardening events and interactive workshops, there's something for everyone to enjoy and participate in this summer at the Southbank Centre.
