Introducing Jack & Boule, a boules court at South Bank London
Are you searching for a cool new pop-up in the heart of London? Jack & Boule brings an exciting 5-month Urban Boules pop-up to London’s South Bank this summer.
Jack & Boule has introduced a 5-month Urban Boules pop-up at the South Bank this summer. The venue, located behind the National Theatre, is transformed into a lively space for what Jack & Boule describes as 'Competitive Socialising.' We attend their launch night to check the place out for ourselves. As luck would have it, the sun graces the occasion, casting a warm glow that sets the perfect tone for the evening.
Featuring 8 boules courts and 3 exceptional street food vendors, including Nanny Bill's, serving flavoursome burgers and croquettes. Having indulged in their vegan-friendly burger, The Chick Queen, a plant-based crispy fried fillet, we can confidently attest to discovering one of the most outstanding vegan burgers in London. It was incredibly tasty.
Additionally, Lil' Watan serves authentic Lebanese cuisine with wraps and fattoush salad bowls, which we didn't try, but we noticed many people wandering around with their impressive-looking fattoush salad bowls. We couldn't help but feel a strong food envy as they appeared very appetising. Rico Burrito offers a delightful selection of burritos, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas that were simply outstanding. Moreover, the venue boasts a well-stocked bar, featuring an extensive range of beers and serving exceptionally crafted cocktails. We highly recommend trying their watermelon picante, with a refreshing combination of flavours; we would definitely return for more.
Now, onto the main attraction. Jack & Boule offers 55-minute Boules sessions that can accommodate groups of 2-6 people. It is highly recommended to pre-book your session, with prices starting at £25 per court. This amounts to less than £4.20 per person for groups of 6, making it a fantastic value for a day out in London!
Jack & Boule proved to be an exceptional experience that far surpassed our expectations. It presents the perfect opportunity to mix up your summer plans and unleash your competitive spirit with a thrilling day of Boules. Whether you're in search of a fun date night, an unforgettable evening with friends, a spot to unwind with post-work drinks, or any other occasion, Jack & Boule has you covered. It is also an ideal choice for corporate events and team-building exercises, with the capacity to accommodate up to 350 people for private hires.
