Amos bursary
The Amos Bursary was set up to address the under representation in established higher education institutions and the professions, of young British men of African and Caribbean descent. The charity has a great mentoring scheme designed to deliver unique leadership programmes for students to assist developing their social and commercial skills, whilst providing life-changing experiences.
How can I help ?
You can become a peer or professional mentor and help shape the future of a young person.
For more information on applying to become a mentor and the responsibility involved in mentorship, visit the Amos Bursary website, here
Access Project
The Access Project works with students from disadvantaged backgrounds to provide support and tuition to help them gain access to top universities. The charity started in 2008 by Alex Kelly and friends to provide his bright and ambitious students the academic support they could not get at home.
How can I help ?
The project matches volunteer tutors with a 14-18 year old student from one of their partner schools to support those students to achieve their full potential at GCSE or A-Level. If you think you have something valuable to give as a mentor, visit the access project website here
