London's Light Festivals 2024: from Battersea Power Station to Canary Wharf

London brightens up every January with two fantastic annual light festivals—one at Battersea Power Station and the other at Canary Wharf. Both offer free light art trails for everyone to enjoy. This article provides all the information you need about these art trails and their duration.

Battersea Power Station's Light Festival

#FLODown: Battersea Power Station's annual free Light Festival 2024 is back with seven installations by British and international artists, some making their UK debut. From a giant diamond to illuminated butterflies and a playable light piano, the installations offer visual experiences with soundscapes and interactive elements. The festival also includes family-friendly workshops, live entertainment, and a Silent Disco.

Artists on show: Masamichi Shimada, Arion de Munck and Mark Ridder (London debut), Squidsoup, Angela Chong (UK debut), Venividimultiplex (London debut), Mad Rhizome (UK debut), Freerk Wilbers (UK debut).

Canary Wharf Winter Lights

#FLODown: Canary Wharf's Winter Lights Festival returns with 19 illuminated installations by UK and international artists. The free event, now in its eighth year, aims to brighten up the area during winter nights. Highlights include Submergence by Squidsoup, Sign by Vendel & De Wolf, and Neuron by Juan Fuentes.
