KUNSTY brings queer, radical and uncategorisable performance to London’s Southbank Centre

If you’re after something bold, queer and completely uncategorisable this November, you need to know about KUNSTY, the Southbank Centre’s brand new four day performance series running from 5-8 November 2025. This new addition to London’s cultural calendar will be a celebration of creativity, showcasing some of the most daring and innovative independent British artists working at the edge of dance, live art and cabaret.

Over four days, the Southbank Centre will host performances that celebrate queerness, artistry and connection. Expect flamenco fiestas, synth heavy DJ sets, late night cabaret, drag, and a glitter filled atmosphere that spills from the stage into the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer, which will transform into the late night KUNSTY Cabaret Lounge. It’s the kind of festival where you might find yourself entranced by an avant garde dance piece one moment, then swept up in a drag flamenco celebration the next.

There are some major highlights to look forward to. The award-winning dance theatre duo Bullyache (Jacob Samuel and Courtney Deyn) open the series on Wednesday 5 Novemberwith WHO HURT YOU?, a performance inspired by Showgirls and the turbulent life of boxer Jake LaMotta. On Thursday 6 and Friday 7 November, Cabrolé! brings a joyful blend of flamenco and cabaret led by Barcelona-born dance artist Patricia Langa, featuring over 40 performers including the much-loved drag artist Carl Harrison and Corali Dance Company. The series closes on Saturday 8 November with Harry Clayton-Wright’s Mr Blackpool’s Seaside Spectacular, a mix of cabaret, variety, drag and dance that captures seaside nostalgia through a gloriously queer lens.
