sketch’s London festival display returns with The Art of Aprés
This Christmas, sketch, London’s iconic destination for art, design and dining, is embracing the alpine charm of après ski with a special installation called The Art of Après. From 14 November 2025, its venue at 9 Conduit Street will be transformed into a snow-dusted Mayfair escape, with pine forests shimmering under chandeliers, cosy mountain lodges glowing with warmth, and gentle snowflakes swirling through the air. The concept has been brought to life by sketch’s Creative Director and Art Curator, Milly Wright, who has combined art, floristry and design to recreate the magic of Europe’s winter mountains right in the heart of London.

Each area of sketch captures a different chapter of the alpine experience. The Reception and The Glade Bar, styled by Lucy Vail Floristry, feature pine trees, snow-dusted dried flowers, and a ski chairlift against painted skies, portraying a serene winter forest. Ricky Paul’s East Bar and Pods become a snow-dusted ski resort, complete with a central mountain, moving miniature ski lifts, glowing lodges, and pine trees dusted with snow.

In The Lecture Room & Library, Mehbs Yacqub’s crystal tree, decorated by Maya Heritage, reflects the alpine night sky, while the PomPom Factory’s Gallery installation presents cascading paper constellations inspired by falling stars over snowy ridges.

The festive atmosphere extends to food and drink, with bespoke cocktails, seasonal patisseries, and the Christmas Afternoon Tea, from £115 per person including a glass of Champagne Pommery Extra Brut Royal (children up to 15 years £65). Live ballerinas perform in the Gallery, Glade, and Parlour, while Folie Saturdays offer ice-cold Veuve Clicquot and Belvedere cocktails, retro ski classics, and DJ sets for a lively après-ski celebration.
