Appetite on the Farm 2025 review

Appetite on the Farm returned to the scenic grounds of Kelvedon Hall in Brentwood this August Bank Holiday with two full days of electronic music, sunshine, and serious dance floor energy. Founded by best friends Elliot Schooling and Liam Palmer, Appetite began as an underground student night in a Bristol basement and has since grown into a 7,000-capacity weekender with a loyal following. Today, Appetite also boasts a record label and a summer residency at Ibiza’s Club Chinois, with its flagship festival showcasing that same mix of grassroots charm and global ambition.

Standout Sets

Appetite on the Farm made the most of its scenic location with a thoughtful stage layout that gave each area its own character. The Barn served as the fully outdoor main stage, while The Forest offered a magical woodland setting with DJs playing beneath a leafy canopy that felt like a festival within the festival. The Jam & Doughnut recreated the atmosphere of a cosy pub, but with DJ decks hidden behind the bar in place of pints, while The Clearing and The Record Shop rounded out the bill with intimate, high-octane sets.

Our highlight was Skream b2b Seth Troxler, who brought pure joy to the main stage as the two legendary selectors bounced off one another with playful energy, weaving through genres from afrobeats to drum & bass. They kept the crowd moving through golden hour, setting the scene for the evening’s raucous finale from Appetite co-founders Elliot and Liam.

Food & Drink

Appetite kept festival goers well-fuelled (as you’d expect from this brand!) with plenty of variety across its bars and market stalls. Tiempo Tequila set up a stylish cocktail bar, while Jubel and Camden Town Brewery brought the easy-going pub garden vibes, with fresh pints flowing all afternoon. In the Farmers Market area, hearty favourites like burgers proved especially popular, alongside sweet treats such as seaside-style doughnuts topped with nostalgic soft-serve ice cream.
