Barbican expands ‘anyone can dance’ series with year-long celebration of diaspora sounds

The Barbican Centre has officially announced the full programme for its anyone can dance series, a year-long run of late-night parties dedicated to global dance music and the UK’s diasporic culture. Following the success of its sold-out debut event with Eastern Margins, the series returns with four dates across 2026. Each event will transform the Barbican’s Level –1 foyer into an intimate dancefloor, running late into the night until 3am.

The anyone can dance series spotlights collectives shaping grassroots sounds across the UK and beyond, with a focus on artists influenced by cultures from around the world. The programme sits alongside the Barbican’s wider artistic offering, continuing its commitment to showcasing work rooted in both local and global cultural influences.

The upcoming events include anyone can dance w/ Love in the Endz on Saturday 2 May, followed by ORII on 25 July, Daytimers on 12 September, and Beirut Groove Collective on 7 November. Love in the Endz, a London-based collective born out of Reprezent Radio in Brixton, draws inspiration from Latin American “Endz” culture and champions underground Latinx music scenes. The May line-up features Bogotá techno producer Brenda, Chilean-born DJ Raff, and Spanish-Bolivian artist Sofy Suars, with additional names set to be announced on the day.

With a focus on cultural exchange and celebration, anyone can dance is set to become a key nightlife series in London’s cultural calendar. Entry is strictly for those aged 18 and over, with valid ID required.
