BLKNWS Opens 180 Studios’ New Cinema with Month-Long Residency
BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions, the debut feature from Kahlil Joseph, is launching the new cinema at 180 Studios, London, with a month-long residency from 27 February to 27 March 2026. The residency blends film screenings with an art installation, inviting audiences to experience Joseph’s immersive exploration of Black history, memory and culture in a shared gallery-cinema setting. Curated by Rich Spirit, this event marks the first major UK presentation of the film and continues a decade-long collaboration between the artist and 180 Studios.

111 Artists Announced for Biennale Arte 2026 In Minor Keys
The 111 artists and organisations for Biennale Arte 2026 In Minor Keys have been announced for the 61st Venice Biennale, which will take place from 9 May to 22 November 2026. The exhibition will honour the late Koyo Kouoh and her visionary, relational approach to art. The selection features a global, intergenerational roster, including collectives and six artist-led organisations like G.A.S. Foundation and blaxTARLINES KUMASI.

Ain Bailey exhibition to open at Camden Art Centre in April
Camden Art Centre has announced a new exhibition by London‑based composer, artist and DJ Ain Bailey, opening from 10 April to 14 June 2026. The exhibition will feature 5C Jacques Road: Part One, the latest film in a trilogy reflecting Bailey’s family, heritage and connection to Jamaica, alongside earlier works that focus on music, food and ancestry. Gallery 3 will be transformed with chromatically altered Victorian windows, immersing visitors in the colours of the Jamaican flag and a rich sonic environment. Other highlights include Version (2021), with videos and 64 Jesmonite sculptures referencing the ackee fruit and Jamaica’s independence, and Untitled: Our Wedding (2022), which pairs archival photography with evocative soundscapes. Bailey’s practice celebrates Caribbean diasporic culture and engages with identity, memory and community through sound and visual media.

Paris Internationale to Launch in Milan in April 2026
Paris Internationale will hold its first international edition in Milan, taking place during Milano Art Week and the opening days of Milano Design Week. Founded in 2016 by the galleries Crèvecoeur (Paris), Ciaccia Levi (Paris and Milan), and Gregor Staiger (Zurich), the fair is traditionally held in Paris during Paris Art Week, alongside Art Basel Paris, where it is widely considered an excellent platform for showcasing contemporary art. The Milan edition continues to reflect the fair’s dual purpose of offering both discovery and a reliable marketplace for contemporary art.

New Details Announced for Photo London 2026
Photo London has announced new details for its first edition at Olympia in Kensington, marking a fresh chapter for the UK’s leading photography fair. The eleventh edition will feature a strong mix of international galleries, expanded sections for emerging talent, and a new art film screening room. Highlights include the Source section for significant underrepresented artists, an enlarged Discovery section for emerging galleries, and the second edition of Positions showcasing unrepresented photographers. The Publishing section also grows, celebrating the photo book, alongside awards such as the Photo London x Nikon Emerging Photographer of the Year and the Photo London Student Award. The fair will present photography, film, and dialogue across Olympia’s historic, newly reimagined spaces near London’s major cultural institutions.

Serpentine launches second edition of The Reader
The Serpentine Reader returns with its second edition, I Hope This Finds You Well, examining wellness and self-help in a world facing social and ecological fragility. Combining essays, fiction, poetry, and experimental guides, the issue explores how care, survival, and self-optimisation are performed and commodified today, with contributions addressing topics from collective healing and AI relationships to transgender survival and ecological critique. Collaborating with artist Alake Shilling, each copy includes a unique motivational sticker, reflecting the issue’s mix of humour, hope, and reflection.
There will be a launch event on 9 March at Serpentine North, featuring readings from contributors, and it will mark the first public presentation of Issue 02. Click here to discover more.

Phoebe Boswell Brings New Art to Bethnal Green and Notting Hill Gate Underground
London-based artist Phoebe Boswell will bring new site-specific artworks to Bethnal Green and Notting Hill Gate Underground stations as part of Transport for London’s Art on the Underground programme from 25 March 2026. Installed on escalator panels, the works respond to London’s hidden rivers and migratory routes, reflecting her ongoing focus on water, endurance, healing, intimacy, and Black diasporic narratives. Boswell photographed local Black swimmers underwater and layered the images into stop-frame-inspired sequences, which are animated by passengers moving along the escalators, creating a unique interaction between the artworks and the public.

New details announced for Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 in March
Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 is set to return from 27–29 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together 240 galleries from across Asia and the world. Highlights include large-scale works in the Encounters sector, the Asia debut of the digital-focused Zero 10, and 35 thematic Kabinett presentations. The fair will also feature citywide programmes, from film screenings and talks to dance and public art, alongside the new Friends of Art Basel Hong Kong initiative connecting regional museums and institutions.
