Paris Internationale makes its debut in Milan during art and design week in April 2026
Paris Internationale will hold its first international edition in Milan, taking place during Milano Art Week and the opening days of Milano Design Week. Founded in 2016 by the galleries CrΓ¨vecoeur (Paris), Ciaccia Levi (Paris and Milan), and Gregor Staiger (Zurich), the fair is traditionally held in Paris during Paris Art Week, alongside Art Basel Paris, where it is widely considered an excellent platform for showcasing contemporary art. The Milan edition continues to reflect the fairβs dual purpose of offering both discovery and a reliable marketplace for contemporary art.

Milanβs art scene, long recognised for its contributions to design, architecture, and visual culture, provides an ideal setting for this expansion. The city combines a rich post-war heritage with contemporary practices, fostering creative exchange and dialogue. By coinciding with the Salone del Mobile, Paris Internationale Milano is expected to draw international visitors as well as Milanβs established community of collectors, designers, and cultural figures. The decision to bring the fair to Milan is thought to be related to Italyβs recent reduction of VAT on art exchanges from 22% to 5%.

The inaugural edition will feature around 35 international galleries, selected for the ambition, clarity and long-term commitment of their programmes. The fair will take place in the 1950s landmark Palazzo Galbani on Via Fabio Filzi, near Milano Centrale, offering 2,000 square metres of exhibition space. Renovated to preserve its post-war modernist design by Pier Luigi Nervi, the building provides an open, elegant environment. A layout developed with Swiss firm Christ & Gantenbein ensures generous exhibition spaces, complemented by a restaurant and bar. Alongside the exhibitions, a concise programme of talks and events will provide context and insight into contemporary art.
Paris Internationale Milano will hold its first edition from 18β21 April 2026, with a preview on 17 April. The 12th edition of Paris Internationale will take place in Paris from 21β25 October 2026, with a preview on 20 October. parisinternationale.com
