Ironworks to launch in London with six shows this October

London will welcome a major new destination for electronic music this October as Ironworks launches at Thames Wharf, a historic riverside site reimagined as a large-scale warehouse venue. Developed by LWE in partnership with placemaking organisation PROJEKT, Ironworks will host a limited series of six shows, combining festival-scale production with the raw atmosphere of an industrial setting. Located on the banks of the Thames in East London, the venue is expected to bring together music, atmosphere and shared experiences at a scale rarely seen in the capital.

Set within a 7,000-capacity warehouse alongside an open-air terrace overlooking the Thames, Ironworks draws inspiration from the site’s industrial heritage. Formerly home to the Thames Ironworks and shipbuilding yards, the location has long been associated with large-scale production and collective endeavour. Today, that same spirit informs the venue’s vision, with cutting-edge sound, lighting and visual production designed to work with the building’s architecture while preserving its distinctive character and history.

For LWE, the project represents a return to the foundations of London’s warehouse culture. Having delivered landmark events at venues including Turnmills, Great Suffolk Street, Tobacco Dock and Printworks London, the team brings decades of experience in creating large-scale electronic music events. As part of the launch, the Museum of Youth Culture will present a visual installation exploring the history of London’s warehouse scene, connecting the venue’s industrial past with the city’s cultural legacy.

With only six shows scheduled for 2026, Ironworks will offer a rare opportunity to experience some of electronic music’s most sought-after artists in the city once more. Beyond the events themselves, the project has been developed with a strong commitment to the local community through dedicated ticket access for residents, opportunities for independent food traders and employment linked to the venue’s programme. Full line-up details will be announced in June, ahead of Ironworks opening its doors in October 2026.
