Southbank Centre’s summer pop-ups are back

This summer, Southbank Centre’s pop-ups return with the Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden, Under the Bridge, Between the Bridges, and a selection of Queen’s Walk favourites, including Truffle Burger, Jimmy’s BBQ Club, Thirsty Farrier, SNOG, Chocofruit, and a rotating lineup of international street food.

Southbank Centre’s riverside food and drink pop-ups return from 24 April to 21 September 2025.

Southbank Centre’s riverside food and drink pop-ups are making a triumphant return this summer, transforming Queen’s Walk into a hub for  al fresco dining from 24 April to 21 September 2025. As the sun warms the Thames, visitors can stroll along the riverbank, sampling everything from gourmet burgers to global street-food flavours. With longer evenings and warmer days ahead, there has never been a better time to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of these pop-ups against the backdrop of the city’s iconic skyline.

Headlining the line-up is the return of Truffle Burger, whose indulgent, truffle-infused patties and crispy fries regularly sell out within hours. They’ll be joined by Americana favourites Frank! hot dogs and Bar Under the Bridge, serving craft brews from Gipsy Hill Brewery. Meanwhile, the Truffle Burger and Friends rotation will showcase a succession of international concepts—think Charles Pan-Fried Chicken, Homer Lobster, Forsyth Fire Escape and Nixta Taqueria—so every visit promises fresh tastes and new discoveries.

Jimmy’s BBQ Club is back for its eighth season, offering a six-course tasting menu, a riverside bar, and immersive cooking demonstrations opposite the Skate Park. Cocktail enthusiasts can flock to the Thirsty Farrier’s vintage horsebox bar, where classics like espresso martinis, spicy margaritas, and fruity mojitos receive inventive updates—and sunset sessions pair chilled beats with riverside sips. For those with a sweet tooth, there will be treats including SNOG’s signature fro-yo and the viral Chocofruit stall, now serving chocolate-dipped strawberries alongside seasonal specials.

Beyond the pop-up stalls, Between the Bridges returns as a key destination for street food on the South Bank, curated this year by Time Out’s Leonie Cooper, complete with free and ticketed events. The Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden also returns, the ideal hidden hideaway offering panoramic views of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament, while Seventy5th Balcony Bar on the fifth floor of the Royal Festival Hall is a stylish retreat for daytime dining and evening drinks. And, celebrating a decade of delicious weekends, the Southbank Centre Food Market continues to bring over 30 traders to the Square every Friday through bank holidays. With such a feast of flavours on offer, summer 2025 at Southbank Centre promises to be an unforgettable season of riverside fun.
