The Vinyl Factory to present the largest immersive exhibition celebrating art and sound at 180 Studios
The exhibition titled REVERB will bring together over 100 artists and musicians, including new works by Theaster Gates, Es Devlin, and Julianknxx.
The Vinyl Factory at 180 Studios in London is set to host REVERB, an expansive exhibition at the nexus of art and sound in May. Over 100 artists and musicians will present a diverse array of installations, performances, and discussions, making it the largest immersive exhibition of its kind. Among the highlights are site-specific works by renowned figures like Theaster Gates, Es Devlin, and Julianknxx, as well as premieres of pieces by Kahlil Joseph and Virgil Abloh.
A standout feature of REVERB will be the Hi-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1, a creation of New York artist Devon Turnbull. This space promises a contemplative atmosphere for experiencing vinyl records, including exclusive selections and studio rarities. Additionally, visitors can anticipate live performances held within installations like Amplified by Theaster Gates, which transitions from a sonic installation by day to a live performance venue by night, with recordings directly pressed onto vinyl.
The exhibition will also showcase 100 vinyl records produced by The Vinyl Factory, featuring releases by a diverse range of artists such as Nan Goldin, Arthur Jafa, and Marina Abramovic. With its rich history of nurturing collaborations between artists and musicians, The Vinyl Factory continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression and innovation.
REVERB, curated and presented by The Vinyl Factory, promises an immersive exploration of the symbiotic relationship between art and sound, offering audiences a multi-sensory experience like no other.
