Leicester Square’s first ever ice rink to open this Christmas

Get ready to lace up your skates because something magical is coming to Leicester Square this November. For the first time ever, the heart of London’s West End will host an outdoor ice rink, bringing festive fun to life with sparkling lights, music, and seasonal activities for all ages. Underbelly, the creative force behind Christmas in Leicester Square for the past nine years, promises to transform the iconic square once again, offering a winter wonderland full of atmosphere and celebration.

Skate Leicester Square

Skate Leicester Square will feature skating sessions every 15 minutes, available for online bookings and walk-in visitors, ensuring everyone has the chance to glide, spin, and make lasting memories. Encircling the famous Shakespeare statue, the rink will provide a wonderful centrepiece, complemented by a Christmas pop-up market with seasonal gifts, food, and warming drinks.

In a heartfelt partnership, Underbelly has chosen the Angel Child Fund at The Brain Tumour Charity as their charity partner. Co- Founded by Ed Bartlam in memory of his son Alfie, who passed away from a rare brain tumour, the fund has already raised over £700,000 for pioneering research. Visitors can add an optional donation when booking, helping to support vital work in treating aggressive paediatric brain tumours.
