#FLODown: The Museu d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa (MACE) is Ibiza’s principal institution for modern and contemporary art, situated within a restored 18th-century building in the historic Dalt Vila. Established in 1969, the museum showcases Spain’s modernist movement with a particular focus on the influential Grupo Ibiza 59, a collective of artists who arrived on the island in the late 1950s and early 1960s and shaped the course of contemporary art in the Balearics. Its permanent collection includes paintings, sculptures, and prints by both established and emerging artists, reflecting the evolution of the island’s creative scene. Beyond its holdings, MACE hosts temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events, providing a space where Ibiza’s artistic heritage engages in dialogue with contemporary practices, all within the context of its historic architectural setting.

#FLODown: Museo Puget is a museum dedicated to the artistic legacy of Ibiza-born painters Narcís Puget Viñas (1874–1960) and his son Narcís Puget Riquer (1916–1983). Housed in the historic 15th-century Can Comasema manor in Dalt Vila, the museum contains 130 works, including oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, and photographs, that vividly depict early- and mid-20th-century life on the island. Puget Viñas, a pioneering photographer and impressionist painter, captured Ibiza’s rural customs and landscapes, while his son focused on urban scenes and daily life. The collection, preserved and displayed for the public by the artists’ family, offers an intimate and historically rich perspective on Ibiza through the eyes of its native artists.

Casa Broner

#FLODown: Originally built in 1960 as the home and studio of German architect Erwin Broner, Casa Broner is a cubist masterpiece in the historic located in the historic Sa Penya district of Ibiza Town. Every element, from the furniture to the artworks, reflects Broner’s vision of modernist design. The house remains a crucial reference point for mid-century architecture on the island and stands as a tangible link between art and daily life.

Fundación La Nave Salinas

#FLODown: La Nave Salinas is a contemporary art foundation located in a repurposed 1940s salt warehouse in the Ses Salines area of Ibiza. Established in 2015 by collector Lio Malca, the foundation occupies over 8,000 square feet and serves as an exhibition space where monumental installations and site-specific works engage with the building’s industrial architecture. Its past exhibitions have featured internationally recognised artists such as Keith Haring, KAWS, Marco Brambilla, Bill Viola, Kenny Scharf, Jonny Niesche, and Mai Blanco. To mark its 10th anniversary in 2025, La Nave Salinas presented La Noche De Día by Spencer Lewis, a series of large-scale paintings created in response to the distinctive characteristics of the warehouse.

#FLODown: Parra & Romero, established in 2005 by Guillermo Parra, formerly of Victoria Miro and White Cube Gallery, is a contemporary art space in Ibiza Town. The expansive venue hosts museum-scale exhibitions featuring international artists such as Calum Innes and Turi Simeti, presenting large-scale installations and sculptural works within a striking industrial setting. Its smaller sister gallery in Santa Gertrudis provides a more intimate environment for exhibitions, as well as music and cultural events, reflecting the gallery’s ongoing engagement with Ibiza’s contemporary art scene.

Gathering Ibiza

#FLODown: Founded in 2022 by Alex Flick, Gathering is a contemporary art gallery that originated in London and expanded to Ibiza in 2024. Situated in the tranquil northern village of Sant Miquel de Balansat, the Ibiza outpost reflects the island’s burgeoning art scene. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition, Substance, featured works by artists such as Kristian Kragelund, Rannva Kunoy, and Jennifer Tee, showcasing a diverse range of contemporary art. Designed by Bellistri Maroli Studio, the space includes an outdoor restaurant and bar named Mira.

In-Between Ibiza

#FLODown: In-Between Ibiza is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s historic old town. Founded by Jessica Courtney in 2024, the gallery occupies a beautifully restored space between the castle’s iconic entrance and the Museum of Contemporary Art Ibiza. It presents a diverse programme of local and international contemporary artists, showcasing exhibitions that highlight creativity, experimentation, and the island’s artistic identity. The gallery is fast becoming an integral part of the island’s contemporary art community.

Espacio Micus

#FLODown: Espacio Micus is a contemporary art gallery located near the village of Jesús in the peaceful Ibizan countryside. The gallery was founded in 1972 by German artist Eduard Micus, who designed the space to integrate his artwork with the surrounding natural landscape. After his death in 2000, his daughter Katja adapted the site into a public gallery, preserving his legacy while also exhibiting works by other contemporary artists. The gallery features a programme of rotating exhibitions throughout the year and is open to the public on Sundays. Espacio Micus offers a contemplative setting that highlights the harmony between creative expression and the island’s landscape.

#FLODown: Adda Gallery, opened in 2018 in San José, was founded by Anna Dimitrova, a leading figure in urban art in Spain. Located in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, it is the island’s first permanent gallery specialising in street art, focusing on unconventional and experimental approaches. This is Dimitrova’s second exhibition space, following ADDA Gallery in Paris.

Soho Farmhouse Ibiza

#FLODown: Soho House is known for its in-house art collections across its properties, and the newly opened Soho Farmhouse Ibiza, located in Santa Gertrudis, continues that tradition. The permanent collection brings together 70 works by 21 artists connected to the Balearic Islands through birth, training, or residence. Highlights include a sculptural ceiling by Natalie Rich in the Library, a two-metre outdoor piece by Jesús de Miguel inspired by the Ibicenca myth of the Fameliars, and Javier Riera’s first outdoor light installation in the garden. Spanning painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, and site-specific installations, the collection features names such as Grason Mikal Ratowsky, Malvina Kang Hughes, Stefan Brüggemann, Mar Guerrero, and Adrián Martínez.

LOST ARTIST Ibiza

#FLODown: LOST ARTIST Ibiza is a studio and gallery founded by British sculptor Christopher Stone, located along the San Juan road in Santa Eulalia. With over 45 years of artistic experience, Stone has exhibited internationally, and his works are included in private, corporate, and museum collections worldwide. The gallery showcases a wide range of creations, including his renowned Podenco hounds, hand-painted sculptures, and wearable art pieces such as hand-painted T-shirts.

#FLODown: The CAN Ibiza Art Fair was founded by Sergio Sancho in 2018. It is a prominent contemporary art event on the island, bringing together local and international artists, collectors, and curators. The most recent edition in 2025 featured over 30 galleries, presenting a range of artworks including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed-media installations. The fair offers a curated overview of the island’s contemporary art scene and underscores Ibiza’s position as a creative hub in the Mediterranean.
